Chapter 6

A Question of the Future

When Xander opened the bedroom door, Mike was glaring at them. Xander smiled back and Alyssa definitely had that just been fucked looked. Her hair was a mess. She blushed when she saw it in the dresser mirror and nervously began to brush it smooth again.

“You can . . . throw him out the window now,” Xander said. Alyssa gasped. Mike’s eyes grew wide in horror. He looked from Xander to the two men. They reached for Mike, grabbing him by his arms. He was screaming under the tape, trying to wiggle out of their grasp.

“Oh, I meant the door,” Xander then said, chuckling to himself. “You can remove the tape.” The rip caused Mike to shriek in agony. It could be worse, Xander thought, if he tried to push his jealous nonsense any further.

“You fucking raped her!” Mike went to charge him, but was restrained. Alyssa ducked behind Xander, holding her hands at his waist and clinging to his suit jacket. Xander reached a hand behind to hold her, assuring her she was safe.

Xander laughed. “Oh, on the contrary. She was the one who . . . pleasured me and had me hold her down. Now I must say, that was quite interesting. And what you heard was pleasure not rape, which you may be more familiar with. Please don’t mix the two up. What Alyssa and I have is nowhere near rape, so don’t even think you can intimidate me. I wouldn’t put it past you to have raped her, controlled her, and hurt her in ways that only pleased you. This is your only warning: stay away from Alyssa. Never talk to her again or you might feel that raped feeling returned a hundred fold.”

Mike tried to shake off the men the humiliation was more than he dared deal with a moment longer.

“Do you live here, or do you have your own apartment?” Xander asked.

Mike glared at him, breathing heavy, fuming with hatred, but helpless to do anything about it. “I have my own.”

“Get the copy of the key to this apartment and throw him out . . . the door I suppose will have to suffice,” Xander said, as if it was not as exciting of an idea. “Go back to your trollop, Courtney. It seems as if you two belong together.” Xander then took Alyssa’s hand. She snatched her purse off the coffee table and allowed herself to be escorted out of the apartment. She turned and looked at Mike, then smiled a smile that told him to go fuck himself. She was with a real man now!

In the limo Alyssa took hold of his hand. “Thank you for not hurting him.”

“No problem, but he hurt you more than once. I’m sure of that,” he said, hating that she obviously still held some feelings for Mike.

“That’s true, but hate is a breeding ground for more hate. Hurting him won’t change him or what he’s done.” Xander raised her hand, kissing it, and loving how she closed her eyes and her smile told silent tales of elation.
